(Applicable to all accredited and non-accredited programs)
Students are required to complete all theory, practical training and assessment components within 4 months of enrolment. Failure to meet this timeframe will result in the course expiring, and re-enrolment fees will apply.
In cases of extenuating circumstances, students may request an extension of their course duration. Extensions are granted at the sole discretion of Dermaskin Training, contingent upon the submission of formal documentation (such as medical certificates or other supporting evidence).
Accredited courses at Dermaskin Training are delivered in compliance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and the relevant National Training Package.
Enrolment in an accredited course does not guarantee certification. To qualify for a Statement of Attainment or Certificate, students must demonstrate competence in all knowledge and performance criteria, as assessed through both theoretical and practical assessments. Dermaskin Training will strive to ensure students are given every opportunity to pass the course.
Accredited courses are designed to provide competency-based education aligned with the requirements set forth by the relevant national training package. Successful completion of these courses equips students with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet industry standards and regulations.
For students seeking professional recognition or to apply for industry insurance, accredited training is generally required to operate legally and ethically. However, students who wish to refine or expand their practical skills beyond the accredited scope may opt for additional, non-accredited or private training. These courses are designed for students looking to enhance specific areas of expertise.
The following are included in the course fees:
Learning Materials: Textbooks, PowerPoint slides, and online resources
Practical Training Day: Scheduled hands-on training sessions OR guided Zoom sessions for distance learners
Trainer Support: Access to educators for guidance and feedback
Assessments & Feedback: Detailed assessments and constructive feedback to track progress
Please note that any resources or support provided beyond the required national standards are offered at the discretion of Dermaskin Training and are not part of a contractual obligation.
Students must:
Engage in self-paced learning: Complete theory and practical assessments by the specified deadlines.
Maintain respectful communication: Interact with educators, fellow students and staff in a professional and respectful manner.
Follow safety protocols: Arrive prepared for practical training, adhering to hygiene and safety guidelines.
Dress code: Wear all black attire, closed-toe shoes and ensure hair is neatly styled and off the face to maintain professionalism.
Model arrangements: Organise models for practical assessments, as required.
Provide evidence: Submit clear photographic or video evidence of practical work where applicable.
Dermaskin Training will provide necessary equipment for use during practical sessions on-site. For distance learners, students are responsible for sourcing their own equipment to meet the practical training and assessment requirements. Dermaskin Training does not provide equipment for distance education students.
Students with specific equipment needs must notify Dermaskin Training in writing at the time of enrolment. Every effort will be made to accommodate special requests, though availability may vary based on stock and transport limitations. Note that Dermaskin Training does not guarantee a specific brand or model of equipment for use during practical training.
All assessments must be completed by the student independently. Plagiarism, cheating or submitting someone else’s work will result in immediate disqualification from the course.
Dermaskin Training reserves the right to request additional evidence or require re-assessment if the initial assessments do not demonstrate the required level of competency. All assessments must be submitted by the given deadlines to ensure timely evaluation.
Refunds are not provided under any circumstances. All sales, including course fees, are final upon enrolment.
In cases where a student withdraws from a course or fails to meet course requirements, no refund or partial refund will be issued. It is the responsibility of the student to carefully review course details and ensure they are fully committed before enrolling.
Dermaskin Training maintains a zero-tolerance policy for any aggressive, threatening or disrespectful behaviour towards staff, students or the business itself. This includes but is not limited to:
Defamatory or threatening communication
Intimidating behaviour or communication
Any breach of the code of conduct may result in removal from private groups, suspension from courses or permanent removal from access to non-essential resources.
Certification (Statement of Attainment or Certificate) will only be issued upon successful completion of all required assessments and criteria. All assessments must be verified and approved by a Dermaskin Training assessor before certification is granted.
Please note, completion of training does not automatically guarantee certification. Students must demonstrate competence in all areas before certification is issued.
